Salary will be between $42,152 and $51,423 (based on experience)

Easterseals Florida is seeking a dynamic, organized, and detail-oriented leader for the position of Billing Manager for our Treasure Coast Early Steps Program. The Billing Manager is responsible leading and supervising the Early Steps Accounting Team members, including oversight of provider billing and payments, Medicaid and insurance billing and collections, and reporting and analysis. We are seeking an individual with great time management skills and who understands deadline sensitivity. This position requires knowledge in billing Medicaid, third-party payers and an understanding of EOBs.

A snapshot of what you'll do:

• Oversee and monitor the Early Steps accounting staff performing the accounts receivable and billing functions in the organization (provide back-up as needed)
• Prepare scheduled billing reports and invoices for Early Steps contract billing to State of Florida, Department of Health, Children's Medical Services
• Oversee the reconciliation and distribution of payments made to community providers and complete monthly travel audits to monitor travel reimbursements
• Ensure that the necessary insurance credentialing is completed
• Assist the Accounting Manager in preparation of schedules and reports for annual audit

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team by providing guidance, training, and support to foster both individual and team growth
• Experience with accounting systems and ability to quickly learn new software
• Experience with billing Medicaid and Third-party payers
• Experience working EOBs locating possible appeals for (and reconsiderations of) denials
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Ability to create, analyze and process Excel-based spreadsheets
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
• Sound judgment, high integrity, and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
• Solid technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Ability to multitask and have great time management skills
