Development Specialist (Early Childhood)

Salary will be $42,000 per year plus insurance and time-off benefits

Easterseals Florida is seeking a passionate, innovative, and dynamic Development Specialist to join our team of evaluators in Tampa. As a Development Specialist, you will work with a team of professionals to deliver early intervention services to families in their natural environment. The primary responsibilities are to complete clinic evaluations and conduct provider visits for children until age 5 or when their goals are met. Easterseals Florida is seeking an individual who is able to develop positive relationships with children and families and is willing to coach and share their knowledge and skills with the families and other professionals.

A Snapshot of what you'll do:

  • Complete eligibility evaluations for children referred by the Healthy Beginnings Entry Agency, and determine eligibility for early intervention services.
  • Complete assessments/evaluations of the child's health and developmental status of the family's educational and support needs.
  • Use mediated learning strategies to support the family/caregiver and the child's interactions. Including the family/caregiver in all aspects of service design and delivery.
  • Completing evaluation reports and paperwork

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; and one to two years related experience and or training.
  • Experience with standardized testing is a plus
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
  • Ability to meet program deadlines.
  • Ability to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive your personal vehicle, as required to drive for program related business.
