Intake Coordinator - Early Childhood Assessment Program

Salary will be $16.00 per hour

Full-Time 37.50 hours per week plus insurance and time-off benefits

Easterseals Florida is seeking a dynamic, organized, and detail-oriented individual for the position of Intake Coordinator in Tampa. Our program serves children from birth to age 5 with developmental delays. The Intake Coordinator serves as the initial point of contact and is responsible for supporting the program by completing intake duties for every family referred to our program, as well as ensuring the information is entered correctly data into the Data System.

A snapshot of what you'll do:

  • Attend community outreach events at schools, family information fairs, open houses, disability resource events, and family nights Coordinate marketing and community outreach for the mental team
  • Communicate the program's philosophy to families and partners
  • Process incoming referral documents from families and partners, responding to emails and callbacks within 24 hours
  • Verify intake data with referral agencies and ensure accurate documentation
  • Enter and maintain client information in relevant systems
  • Assign cases and facilitate closure of cases
  • Order supplies and manage purchase orders

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work after hours and/or weekends (with prior notice) to attend outreach events
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Two year's previous experience working in an early childhood intervention or evaluation programs
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Strong computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to accurately enter data into a computer database system (fast and accurate typing/keyboarding skills)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to meet Easterseals Florida approved driver requirements, as travel is required
