Salary will be between $17.00 to $18.00 per hour (based on experience) - full-time 37.5 hours per week plus insurance and time off benefits

Easterseals Florida is seeking a dynamic, organized, and detail-oriented individual for the position of Billing Specialist for our Treasure Coast Early Steps Program.  The Billing Specialist is responsible for preparing/submitting billing documents, entering charges, posting payments, monitoring aging reports, and communicating with funders for problem resolution and collections. This position requires a background in billing Medicaid and Third-party payers in addition to working EOBs, locating possible appeals for and reconsiderations of denials.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma and one-year related experience and/or training
• Experience with accounting systems and ability to quickly learn new software
• Experience with billing Medicaid and third-party payers
• Experience working EOBs locating possible appeals for (and reconsiderations of) denials
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Ability to create, analyze and process Excel-based spreadsheets
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
• Sound judgment, high integrity, and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
• Solid technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
