Easterseals Florida is seeking a dynamic
individual for our PLAY Project Consultant position in Hillsborough County
Florida. The PLAY Project program serves
families who have children (or highly suspect) with autism spectrum disorder
(ASD) who are in need of early intervention therapy. The consultant will be responsible for providing
direct PLAY intervention services to grant recipients, completing necessary
assessments, coaching families, and generating billable service units to this
contract.
A Snapshot of What You
Will Be Doing:
- Ensure
compliance with clinical documentation and all contract requirements including
program performance data, child assessments, reports, and documentation as
required
- Provide
direct PLAY Project intervention services to grant recipients as needed to meet
the grant unit and client served obligations
- Document PLAY sessions and submit required reports within
24hours of session.
- Complete grant reporting requirements timely and accurately
- Provide family education using the PLAY Project model
- Maintain an effective and professional working relationship with
families, co-workers, and referral sources

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's
degree (or higher) in early childhood special education, early child
development, licensed therapist, or a related field
- Minimum
of one year of direct hands on work experience with young children and their families.
- Bilingual
(English/Spanish, English/Creole) preferred
- Work
independently and effectively with minimal on-site supervision
- Experience
(formal training and hands on) working with individuals with developmental
disabilities, mental health and/or dual diagnoses preferred
- Excellent
attention to detail, organizational skills, problem-solving skills and
solution-focused behavior
- Excellent
written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, to include
diplomatically addressing difficult situations and people (clients and staff
alike), providing constructive feedback, and earning the respect of physicians,
nurses, therapists and other personnel
- PLAY Project certified within 3 months of hire
- Ability to work independently and effectively with minimal on-site
supervision
- Ability to meet Easterseals Florida Approved Driver requirements
to travel to community meetings and to clients' homes
