Salary will be between $31,200 to $33,200 per year (based on experience)

About the Position:

Easterseals Florida is seeking an organized, and detail-oriented individual for the position of Program Administrative Assistant/Floater Assistant Teacher for our Igoe-Amar Child Development Center in West Palm Beach.  In this position, you will provide program administrative support for our program which serves children with disabilities and special needs (from birth to age 5).  The position requires a high volume of family and customer contact.  Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: answering phones and greeting families, staff and guests; purchase and supply orders; receipting; banking; and general office administration.  Additionally, this position will also serve as an Assistant Teacher in the classroom as required.  We are looking for a candidate who wants to grow within our organization.  You will be part of a team where independence, creativity and strong organizational skills are valued and required.  We need someone who can keep up and who is willing to wear a variety of hats!

What we value:

  • One-year certificate from a college or technical school with at least six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Successful completion of the Florida Department of Children & Families 45 hour Child Care Training
  • Outstanding computer skills using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Database)
  • An energetic creative and professional individual who will portray and promote a positive, respectful, and team-based environment
  • Excellent phone skills, customer service skills and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work within time constraints
  • Ability to work flexible hours when needed to meet the needs of the program
  • Ability to complete the Florida Department of Children & Families 45 hour Child Care Training within the first 90 days of employment
  • Ability to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive your personal vehicle as required to drive for program related business
