Program Assistant & Instructor

Salary will be between $18.00 and $20.00 per hour (based on experience) 

Full-time position working 30 hours per week

If so, we have a position for you. Easterseals Florida is currently seeking a part-time Program Administrative Assistant for our Adult Day Training (ADT) program in Naples, Florida. The Program Administrative Assistant is responsible for the daily administrative operations of the program, as well as providing training, support, and assistance to our program participants. This is a great entry level position for a dynamic individual looking to learn the ropes in the nonprofit industry and wanting to give back to their community.

The Program Administrative Assistant will work with our ADT Instructors to plan and implement a variety of daily enrichment activities that promote independence, community inclusion, job training, vocational skill acquisition, and peer socialization, while enhancing personal life skill development and self-advocacy skills. Our program participants gain real world experiences daily that focus on life, employability, and community skills. This position is also responsible for clerical duties as assigned.

A snapshot of what you will be doing:

  • Answer phones and perform general office duties
  • Provide coverage in the ADT program as needed
  • Conduct tours for prospective clients/families
  • Assist parents and families with concerns
  • Collect, receipt and document client private pay fees
  • Drive to ESF financial institution to make daily deposit
  • Assist parents and families with concerns
  • Maintain and update electronic data

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  • Enrolled in a college field of study related to health, education, psychology, nonprofit management, or other related field
  • Experience working with persons with disabilities on job skills training self-advocacy training, or daily living skills training, as well as assisting with personal needs such as monitoring behaviors, is a plus
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • An energetic creative and professional individual who will portray and promote a positive, respectful, and team-based environment
  • Ability to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive our vehicles and your personal vehicle, as required to drive for program related business (also must be at least 21 years old)
