Speech Language Pathologist

Salary is $61,000 to $65,000 per year (based on experience) - plus insurance and time off benefits

We are looking for a passionate, innovative, and dynamic Speech Language Pathologist to join our Early Intervention Assessment Team (EIAT). The Speech Language Pathologist works with a team of experienced evaluators conducting multi-disciplinary developmental evaluations for children aged birth to three for the purpose of determining program eligibility. Easterseals Florida is seeking an individual who is able to develop positive relationships with children and families and is willing to coach and share their knowledge and skills with the families and other professionals. The team travels to services the Palm Beach County area, providing services in the client's homes (currently using hybrid approach between traveling to client and telemedicine).

A Snapshot of What You Will Be Doing:

  • Participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary evaluation team and complete appropriate developmental evaluations for children ages birth to 3 yrs. old who are referred by the Healthy Beginnings Entry Agency and determine eligibility for the program following the eligibility criteria established in the Early Steps Program Plan and Operations Guide (PHOG) or the programs within the Healthy Beginnings System of Care.
  • Participate as a member of the Individual Family support Plan (IFSP) Team for each child deemed eligible in their multi-disciplinary evaluation and make recommendations of specific early intervention services necessary to meet the unique needs of the infant or toddler and the family. This includes the determining the frequency, intensity, and duration of services needed for the child to reach the outcomes.
  • Suggest learning strategies to support the care giver/child interactions.
  • Submit all completed evaluation documents and paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Complete documentation utilizing Health Beginnings System.
  • Maintain an effective and professional working relationship with families, co-workers, and referral sources.
  • Comply with privacy laws and requirements under HIPAA regulations.
  • Ensure that client rights are protected.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree and one to two years related experience and or training
  • Current Florida Professional License (Speech Language Pathologist)
  • Florida Medicaid Provider Number (Therapy and/or Early Intervention)
  • NPI Number
  • Confirmation of Enrollment in CMS Provider Management System
  • Ability to meet the Easterseals Florida approved driver qualifications
